La struttura sorge all’interno di un antico palazzo del 900 in una delle principali vie di Catania. Le camere vi accolgono con stile moderno-industriale, realizzate per rendere confortevole il vostro soggiorno, climatizzate, smart Tv, WI-fi gratuito, accesso al balcone e bagno privato completo.

Via Santa Filomena è una zona pedonale ricca di locali aperti a pranzo e a cena, i quali offrono varietà culinarie tipiche del territorio; la sua prosecuzione è Via Gemmellaro ideale invece per un aperitivo.

Tra i luoghi di interesse nelle vicinanze della struttura troviamo Piazza Duomo a circa 1 Km, proseguendo ci si ritrova nell’antico mercato del pesce “La Pescheria” dove si può acquistare pesce sempre fresco. A 200 metri si trovano Villa Bellini e Via Etnea, principale via di Catania, piena di negozi e bar dove si possono gustare arancini e granite e prendere vari mezzi pubblici per postarsi in città. Girando l’angolo è possibile entrare in uno dei mercati storici della città “a fera o luni” dove si possono acquistare i prodotti tipici del territorio e raggiungere facilmente il Santuario Madonna del Carmine in Piazza Carlo Alberto. Fermata metro “stesicoro” a 5 minuti, stazione centrale a 1,5 km, e 4 km dall’aeroporto di Catania Fontanarossa, lo scalo più vicino.

Luviana has a rich history with many interesting facts and occasions that had an impact on its establishment. But through the whole period of its formation Luviana was always liked by visitors.

Luviana’s hitory begins in 1809 when a rich man named John Douglas bought a huge piece of land to fulfilled his father’s will – to build the place where people can relax and forget about their problems. From 1852 the active works on this area took place and till 1863 the building was finished. Name of the hotel originated from John’s mother’s name.

Since that time the hotel never lost its popularity and only developed and increased in sizes. It is renovated annually and the current owners care about the building conditions as well as timely renewal.
